Steven was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in his early 20s, this came as a huge shock to him and his family as he was generally fit and healthy at the time. As part of the diagnosis, Steven didn’t handle the information given to him and was scared of what was going to happen.

Steven has now been with The Crescent for over 7 years and during his time with us, we have reduced his regular hospital visits and provide stability and continuity that was lacking in his weekly routine. As part of the service The Crescent provides, Steven has a team of carers that visit him at home every week and know all of Steven needs. The team are trained and highly experienced with the level of care Steven requires and are informed of any changes to his care, as and when required.

He has a dedicated team of carers who work with him and Steven is informed immediately if this changes. Steven also receives social support from The Crescent alongside his homecare package, this provides support to ensure that he can still get out and about, complete regular errands and enjoy social activities.

Steven has said that he is very happy with the level of care and support The Crescent provides and would not like to change. He is treated with respect and dignity and is happy with the care he receives.
